What is a Missile?
A Missile is a weapon that is self-propelled or directed by remote control, carrying some explosive in it. In simple words, it is an object thrown or projected so as to strike something at a distance. Stainless steel, Aluminum, among others are used in making Missiles.
Difference between a Rocket and a Missile
The difference between a Rocket and a missile is that a Rocket is a vehicle that uses a rocket engine to propel itself at high speeds. But Missiles are rockets that are guided and contain explosives of some kind.
Missiles are generally grouped according to the location of the launch platform and target location. There are five types, air-to-air, air-to-surface, surface-to-air, anti-ship, and anti-tank.
