Application of wind energy 

The wind is useful to us in many ways. Some of the applications of wind energy are:

1. Generation of electricity: Wind turbines use wind energy to create electricity. The wind is a clean & environment-friendly source of energy.

2. Transportation: The power of the wind is used for pushing the sailboats.

3. Pumping water: The energy from the wind is used to drive a pump.

4. Milling Grain: Grain milling in certain locations is done using wind energy.

5. Sports: Several sports use wind energy as their source like windsurfing, land surfing, kite running, kiteboarding, parasailing, paragliding, skydiving, etc.
